2007 Annual Fund Drive
Since 1961, the men and women of the Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad have been providing you
with the most advanced levels of Emergency Medical Services, Off Shore Rescue and Recovery, and
Vehicle Extrication in St. Lawrence County. Like everything else, the cost of providing these services
increases every year.
Since
our last fund drive, there have been several changes in
patient care protocols and standards. To meet these new
standards the Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad has spent
over $104,000.00 on new equipment. We have also spent over
$26,000.00 to train our volunteers and employees to meet these
new standards and to provide better care to you, the people we
serve. In addition, we have recently taken delivery of a new
Advanced Life Support response vehicle at a cost of $56,000.00.
As you can see, the cost of providing quality EMS service is expensive. Donations from local businesses,
professionals, and citizens, such as you, make up a vital percentage of our income each year. 100% of
the money raised by this fund drive and other donations is spent to provide our members and employees
with up to date equipment, vehicles, and training, so that they may better serve you and the community.
We have set a goal of $15,000 for this years fund drive. It is our
hope that you will once again support us in our vital mission of
providing quality emergency care to you, your family, and friends
with a donation in an amount that you feel is fair and affordable..
Thank your for your continued support.
